My goal is to incorporate VR, or “Cardboard” Learning into the upper grades curriculum at Austin Creek Elementary School. Students will be able to experience the world from the comfort of a classroom, and Cardboard Learning can be used to improve geo-literacy as well as aid understanding of biology and other science-related subjects. I plan to assemble around 35 VR kits for the school and collaborate with teachers to identify and compile a library of virtual lessons customized to complement the curriculum. To make this possible, I will:

  • raise donations for the purchase of VR Cardboard goggles and compatible smartphones (see how you can help)
  • engage community partners (relevant local IT companies) to help train Austin Creek teachers to use VR technologies to teach.
  • raise awareness in the Austin Creek community and gain support.

Let’s make this happen!
